About:
Grief can be so difficult; it is no coincidence that it comes from the same etymological root from which we take "grave." Feeling that heaviness can be so painful, and we seek to reach out to those who remain in the world with us and carry that weight. Yet just as the most devastated buildings are those at the epicenter of an earthquake and the foundations feel perilous, it can be hard to know where to step and where to begin recovery and recovering. As social creatures, we start by joining with others to not bear the burden alone, and this getting through, because it can be hard to get over, takes a variety of forms.Maybe you were able to attend the funeral, or perhaps you had to miss it. Maybe you didn't say all that you wanted to. Maybe you have pieces of what you wanted to express but are not quite sure how to combine them into something that feels complete or able to achieve the feeling you hope to express.
Let's work together to bring those pieces together into something beautiful, meaningful, and healing. I am here to help you say what will make all of you feel better and at greater peace: the bereaved for the receiving and you for one of the kindest of gestures.
