This Gig is proofreading. It's the final step you need to polish your work before you introduce it to your audience. It makes your work more credible, more professional, and more readable.

I'll correct, among other components, spelling, grammar, word choice, punctuation, redundant or missing words, incorrect capitalization and syntax. If you would like a complete list of the functions I perform, please contact me.   

The piece should be presented to me as a finished work, and my responsibility is to make it as reader-friendly as possible.

I do NOT perform fact-checking, enhancing clarity of the construction of your piece, placing sentences properly within their paragraphs, improving flow between paragraphs, or ensuring their compatibility within the entire piece; this would be a job for an editor.

I use the Chicago Manual of Style, but will use the AP Stylebook if you prefer.
